Process

The 4 D's

Regardless of whether you're doing a marketing campaign, embarking on a micro-fundraising project, or using us to handle your day-to-day philanthropic needs, our process provides a solid foundation and outline for producing high quality results with measurable outcomes. We're super proud of it and would love to share it with you!

Discovery

It all starts by understanding your cause. We want to know all of your concerns, goals, strengths, and weaknesses. Too much information is never a bad thing! In this stage we'll define the major objectives for the project or campaign. We'll also take a close look at the target audience that you need to reach and we'll define the possible channels that we'll need to use to get to them (social media, direct marketing, tv, radio, viral marketing, micro-fundraising, etc..). A complete project plan, including milestones, tasks, and stakeholder objectives will be outlined at the completion of this phase. This will give us all a road map for success to follow throughout the next 3 stages.

Design

With a good foundation of Discovery completed, we then move into crafting a well thought out and calculated solution to your problems. This might be drafting the constructs of a grant proposal, literally designing the wireframes and moodboards for a website redesign, outlining a social media marketing plan, creating a calculated list of target donors or a slew of other possible services that we provide. This phase provides you with a solid visual understanding of the solutions we'll be developing.

Develop

With some solutions identified from the Design phase, we now focus our attention on making them a reality. The deliverables of this phase might include a working website, setting up social media profiles, final versions of grants, developing and administering online fundraising tools, and more. This phase also includes some reserved time for quality assurance, including fact-checking, testing, and trouble shooting any possible issues that may arise. All the while we'll provide you with a step-by-step report of how the development is progressing and when we'll be proceeding too the final phase, Deployment.

Deploy

The last phase in the process focuses on executing the final deliverables and measuring their success. There's nothing we love more than seeing a finished project go out the door and blossom! Deployment might include launching a completed website, running a donor event, sending and tracking completed grants, or executing a multi-level online marketing campaign. Whatever the case, we'll also provide a solid reporting system for you to track the success of the project. Lastly, we'll run a project wrap-up meeting with you to go over what worked, what didn't, and to brainstorm suggestions for improvement next time around.

Services

Our Services

Cause Marketing

Who says that causes and corporations can't play well together? We believe wholeheartedly in bringing together these two worlds to help your cause shine. We work with you to define possible portions of your cause that could be ripe for sponsorship, then we define the ideal corporations, and sometimes even individuals, that would be perfect as a sponsor. And as if that wasn't enough, we also help contact the potential sponsors and will follow all the way through until a deal is signed. What's not to like?!

Corporate Social Responsibility

Its the dawn of a new era when corporations actually care about their triple bottom line: people, planet, and profit. So who says your brand has to be painted as an evil empire? We work hard with companies to share their story and show how they care to not just make money in this world, but actually be a part of it. We'll help you define an overall CSR strategy, identify the ways to see it grow, and help you implement it. Please note that we believe in authenticity, so if you're company isn't interested in telling the truth, then we aren't interested in working with you.

Philanthropic Strategy

Online, offline, mobile, annual reports, grants, donors, oh my! Wading through the philanthropy options at your fingertips can be overwhelming and make you feel like your organization is drowning in a sea of sameness with competing causes. It doesn't have to be that way! We help you define the best philanthropic strategy based on your unique situation and needs. Our team gets to know everything about your cause and where you are trying to take it. Goals are paramount and so are results, so we provide you with a strategy that can be measured using our own proprietary reporting system.

Online Fundraising

Some call it a black art, we call it fantastically fun! There are several different ways to fundraise online and we'll help guide you to the ones that make the most sense for you and your target donors: micro-fundraising, auctions, celebrity endorsements, donation systems, mobile donations, planned giving forms, and plenty more.

Traditional Fundraising

Yep, it still exists! We may be modern focused fundraisers but we're deeply rooted in the traditional methods as well: marketing campaigns, annual appeals, direct solicitation, capital campaigns, special events, etc. We'll work with you to determine what makes the most sense based on your audience, time, and budget. Also, there's nothing more exciting than pairing an online fundraising campaign with a traditional one to meet all your goals - it's all win!

Annual Reporting

The cornerstone to any good cause is an annual report. Your donors want to see what you have done and where their support is going. An annual report is also an excellent way to entice new donors to come on board. And if grants are your thing, then an annual report will help grantors see your past successes with other grants. Besides having a report that you can hold in your hands, we'll also throw in a version that can be seen online at no extra cost.

Donor Prospecting

So where are all the donors? We'll help you find them! We'll work with you to create a plan of action that makes the most sense given your audience and fundraising objectives. We can't give away our complete process here because its super hush-hush. ;) But we can say that in the past we've helped organizations use their existing donors to find new ones, created complete events around donor development, and even utilized some technological tools to provide well targeted donor lists that provide real results.

Grant Writing

Who likes to write? We Do! We love the thrill of the hunt to find the perfect grants for our clients. We then collect all of the necessary data and start creating a well oiled draft that highlights why your cause deserves this funding. Finally we wrap up any grant writing project by delivering the grant for you and also following up on your behalf to the grantor. Basically, you tell us what we need, and we help you get it.

Social Media Management

Tweeting, facing, texting, tumbling, and tubing can be confusing but it SO doesn't have to be. Your cause deserves a chance to engage your supporters and potential donors across the social media landscape. You might think that you don't need social media, but the truth is that your competing causes are already implementing a strategy or are starting to. Invest the time now and give your cause a sustainable solution that puts your organization ahead of the pack. We'll help you identify the most appropriate social media channels to target, develop a content strategy that makes sense, and we can even carry out the messaging on your behalf if you need us to.
